Callista Sinopoli

Dr. Sinopoli is originally from Newnan, GA – but has quickly fallen in love with San Diego. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology and Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from Auburn University (War eagle!) During her time there, she was both an animal care-taker and research technician for the Schwartz Functional & Economic Genomics Lab. She participated in the “Aging Anoles Project”, which utilized a new vertebrate model (lizards!) to study the roles of growth factors in sex dimorphism of longevity and aging. Soon after, she graduated from the University of Arizona with her Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine. She is passionate about preventative medicine, oncology, and advocating for the health and well-being of your pet. Dr. Sinopoli enjoys the great outdoors, from the beach to the mountains – but she is always down to binge-watch the latest drama/mystery series on Netflix. You will likely catch her at the San Diego Zoo or Safari Park with her husband on her days off – they are avid members and can’t stay away for long! She has a sweet kitty named Willow, who has traveled by her side through several moves across the country. Overall, Dr. Sinopoli is overwhelmed with gratitude to be able to serve you and your pets, and she looks forward to providing exceptional veterinary care to the community.
