Our next basic obedience class-

( 4 months and older)  will be:

  April 14th, 2012 @ 9am

 We are accepting students at this time. Students must be at least four months old and have completed their vaccine series
which include: Three sets of DHPP+C, one Bordetella, and one Rabies vaccine.
Adult students are welcomed at any age after four months and must be current with
all vaccines as mentioned above.
Call or come in to sign up and save a spot, class size is small for student and
owner comfort.

  Class price is $115.00 for 5 weeks at Otay Pet Vets, in the Otay Ranch Town Center, in Chula Vista.  For more information, call 619.421.1698.

Puppy Kinder and Basic Obedience FAQs

1. How do I sign my pet up for the classes?  We accept sign-ups whenever Otay Pet Vets is open.  You can call and reserve your spot, don’t delay we only allow 10 dogs and their people, per class.

2. How much does the training cost and where is it located?  The class cost will be $110.00, and the class is held at Otay Pet Vets, in the Otay Ranch Town Center, in Chula Vista.

3. How long is the class and what time does the class start?  The classes will be 5 weeks long,  Friday evenings at 6pm.

4. How many dogs are in the class? We limit the class size to 10 total pets to allow more individual training.

5. Can my whole family come? Yes, we encourage the whole family to be involved in the training.

6. What are the recommended ages to begin puppy obedience training? We prefer puppies to be 12 weeks or older, with current vaccines ( DA2PPC, Bordetella, Rabies,) Basic Obedience can be 4 months and older and we recommend neuter and spay for better results.

7. Who is the trainer? Our trainer is Susan Cardenas, highly recommend by Otay Pet Vets.  She has been training and helping families with their pets with behavior modification programs, puppy kindergarten, basic, intermediate and advanced obedience for many years.

8. What if I miss a class?  We recommend that you do not miss any classes, but in the event you do, we allow you to make up the class, if available.

9. What do I need to bring?  We recommend that you bring a collar and leash that fits your pets neck properly.  We highly recommend purchasing a gentle leader, available at Otay Pet Vets $24.99 and some soft treats that your pet likes.

10. What will I be required to do after the classes?  Susan recommends that you practice all the steps that you have learned in the class daily and have a lot of fun in the process.
