Dr. Kevin Anderson DVM, MPH, DACVPM Dr. Anderson is the medical director and owner of Otay Pet Vets. He is a compassionate and thorough doctor with excellent client service skills. He understands and listens to your questions and concerns about your pet, he cares about your pet’s health, and he takes the time to educate you about your pet’s needs and to answer your questions. Dr. Anderson is known as a family man and has been married to Deborah for 24 years and they have three grown children, Chris, (newly married to Meghan) Michael and Ashley.Dr. Anderson retired from duty after a 20-year military career as a United States Army veterinarian, where he traveled to five continents providing veterinary care services and training to military troops and countries in need.During his military career, he managed numerous multi-sized clinics in many countries including Korea, Japan, Bahrain, and Germany.Dr. Anderson is a board certified veterinarian with over 23 years of veterinary experience, with strong diagnostic skills, and expertise in public health and foreign animal diseases. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Health from Tulane University and a Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostician. |

Jovito Manzon, RVT – (DVM-Phillipines) Jovito has been with Otay Pet Vets from the beginning. His knowledge and experience as an RVT and DVM in the Philippines are unsurpassed. When asked what was something unique and different about himself, he said “it’s pretty cool that my son and I graduated from De La Salle- Araneta University in the Philippines as DVMS and now we are practicing RVTS here in the states.” Jovito is known as a quiet man but he humors us daily with his witty sayings like “very good” and “going, going going” as he heads out the door. |

Bethany Rosman, RVT- Team Leader, Animal Science BS
Bethany graduated from California Polytechnic State University- San Luis Obispo in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. She started at OPV at the beginning of 2008, but has been working as a veterinary technician for nearly ten years and recently just received her RVT. In March of 2008 Bethany headed our successful high school volunteer program, and has trained, coached and counseled over 100 students that needed volunteer hours to graduated and those students interested in veterinary medicine. She is a hard worker, very dependable and an awesome addition to our team! Bethany has 2 fabulous dogs named Noodle and Hank.
When she isn’t working, you can find her outdoors enjoying life to the fullest with her husband Nick.

Adriana Fernandez, Veterinary Technician, OSHA Officer, R.O.P. Vet Assistant 1 & 2 Adriana is a native to Chula vista and graduated from CVHS. She started with OPV under construction, 2 1/2 years ago. Adriana has two great dogs, Tess who was adopted and Lana Ona a surprise pup from one of our clients. Adriana plans to take her RVT license in the future and continue to grow in her skills. She is very personable and an awesome addition to our team. She has successfully organized and set up our Basic Obedience classes that take place every 6 weeks. When asked what would surprise someone about herself, she said,” I am the only daughter out of 3, to play soccer like my dad, who played on the San Diego Soccer’s Team.” |

Jessica Bautista, Veterinary Technician, First Year Zoology Student Jessica started at OPV as an amazing and dedicated high school volunteer and now works part time while attending SDSU. She graduated from Eastlake High School in 2008 with AP Honors, Honors Diploma, & CSF graduate. She plans on being a marine biologist or zoologist…or both, someday. Jessica has been volunteering at the Chula Vista Nature Center as an Aquarist for the last year and she loves it.When asked what would surprise someone about herself, she said, “I own 2 snakes, one is a Mexican rosy and the other is an Arizona chocolate, their really cute, and I love to cook.” She makes a too-die for chocolate cake that our staff loves! |

Chrystal SiFuente, Veterinary Technician, PIMA Graduate Chrystal has lived in San Ysidro all her life and is a fluent Spanish speaker. She graduated from Southwest High School in 2007. She has 3 dogs (Mini, Roxy, & lucky)& 1 cat (sweetie). Chrystal came to OPV as an excellent Pima Student and was hired upon her graduation. Her love for animals and concern for their well being makes her a wonderful and dedicated veterinary technician. Her hobbies include Kickboxing, Boxing, and Tai Kwon with a big passion. She has taken Tai Kwon Do for 6 years now. When asked what would suprise someone about herself she said, “I have always dreamed of becoming a DVM and I am looking forward to achieving my goals”. |

Jessica Mendoza, Veterinary Technician, PIMA Graduate Jessica has been with OPV for 6 months now. She became a veterinary technician because she loves animals! She owns 3 mares and has a puppy named Bella. She has lived in Tijuana all her life, but has traveled across the boarder to go to school in San Diego as long as she can remember. Her passion is horseback riding when she gets free time. When asked what would surprise someone about herself she said that she is on a team of Escaramuza and has been competing for 6 years now. One of the main reasons why she entered the veterinary field is to become a DVM someday for large animals. Jessica is always smiling and ready to help whenever needed! |

Melissa Minyard, Boarding Attendant, Technician Assistant Melissa started out at Otay Pet Vets as a very dependable volunteer, coming in a few times a week to walk the dogs staying in our boarding facility. She has now been working with us for over a year. Melissa enjoys giving our boarding patients a lot of love and attention during their stay, and she is always willing to help out whenever we need an extra hand to hold, walk or comfort surgery patients. Melissa has a tender heart for our furry friends. She now attends Southwestern College and plans to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to get a degree in Animal Science. |

Alicia Hinojosa, Lead Receptionist Alicia has been with OPV from the beginning and has been a wonderful front desk receptionist. Her cheerful and optistmistic attitude is always loved by our clients and staff! Her knowledge and skills in english and spanish have been super. Alicia loves animals, with cats being her favorite! She has several cats that are all spoiled and loved! She has one cute chihuahua named Peanut, and a horse called Pancho.When asked what would surprise someone about herself, she said, ” I played the clarinet for 7years, playing in the Rose Bowl, Hawaii Bowl, and Disneyland Parade.” Go Alicia! |

Dusty Shamblin, Boarding Attendant Dusty has been working for OPV for over 2 years now, and she has lived in Chula Vista for 16 years. She started out as an awesome volunteer walking dogs for 6 months. Dusty loves animals, especially dogs. She has two dogs at home Zoe and Sarah. Dusty is excellent at handling dogs in the pet park, and meeting their needs.When asked what would surprise someone about herself she said, “I love to rescue hurt animals and get them the help they need and I love computer games.” |
